LinkedIn Communication for Computer Software Support Students and CSS Alumni

Hi Everyone, 

If we haven’t met yet I’m the advisor for the Computer Software Support students.   Once a student graduates I rarely see or hear from them again.  But, it would be great if we could all share jobs we hear about and be able to keep in communication during school and afterwards.

So, I have created a LinkedIn page so you guys can look at my connections (students) and invite your classmates to be your LinkedIn connection.  If you aren’t familiar with LinkedIn it is kind of similar Facebook but is used for corporate and business networking and job hunting with classmates and old coworkers. 

If you already have a LinkedIn login please consider logging in then visiting my LinkedIn page at http://www.linkedin.com/in/jwollens and clicking “Add Jack Wollens to your network”

Or if you are new to LinkedIn go to the above url then under “Get full access to Jack Wollens’s profile” you can sign up for a new account.

Sometimes people email me about jobs or internships and are looking for students or graduates.  So, please check my activity log and the CSS group often as I will post them in there.  Also, if you are working for a company and hear they are looking for computer people please send me a message on LinkedIn and will send it out to all of the CSS connections!  Or you can post in in the CSS Group yourself.

When you set up your account I’d suggest you use your personal email address not your BTC one.  Once you leave BTC you will lose your BTC email and won’t get LinkedIn messages.

Once you have created an account and added me as a connection the final thing you will want to do is Join the CSS LinkedIn group, this can be used to post messages back and forth between other CSS students and Alumni.  It is like a group Wall in Facebook.  Alumni and myself will post jobs we hear about in the group.  The URL for joining this group is:
